Job Summary: The EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) Manager is accountable for establishing, implementing, and maintaining robust EHS protocols across all interior fit-out projects in the coworking portfolio. This role safeguards a safe, compliant, and sustainable work environment at every project site, ensuring adherence to statutory regulations, corporate policies, and best industry practices.

Key Responsibilities:
1. EHS Policy, Strategy & Compliance
• Develop, review, and deploy site-specific EHS plans, policies, and risk registers for all ongoing fit-out projects.
• Ensure full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and client-specific EHS requirements (e.g., BOCW, NBC, IS codes).
• Interpret and integrate EHS requirements across project schedules, site activities, and contractor work scopes.
• Stay updated on changes to legislation and ensure implementation on all sites.

2. Site Audits, Inspections & Risk Management
• Conduct regular site inspections, safety walks, and compliance audits to identify, record, and rectify unsafe conditions or EHS non-compliance.
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessments (HIRA/JSA), and implementation of control measures for high-risk activities.
• Monitor and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and incidents to AVP – Project Execution and relevant stakeholders.
• Lead investigations for incidents, accidents, and near-misses; document findings, implement root cause analysis, and track corrective measures to closure.

3. Contractor & Workforce Management
• Drive EHS orientation, onboarding, and periodic training programs for all site personnel, including contractors and subcontractors.
• Ensure all contractors adhere to company and statutory EHS norms, proper use of PPE, and compliance with permit-to-work systems.
• Review contractors’ risk assessments, method statements, and safe operating procedures for fit-out activities.
• Enforce disciplinary measures in case of repeated violations and drive safety culture initiatives.

4. Documentation & Reporting Job Details : EHS Manager (Interior Fit-Out, Coworking)
• Maintain up-to-date EHS documentation: risk registers, inspection checklists, incident logs, and statutory records.
• Prepare and submit statutory EHS reports, weekly/monthly dashboards, and compliance summaries on schedule.
• Organize emergency preparedness drills; ensure incident reporting and management as per SOPs.

5. Training & Culture Building
• Conduct regular EHS training, toolbox talks, and awareness campaigns to promote a proactive safety culture.
• Lead initiatives for continual improvement in safety processes, ergonomic practices, and environmentally sustainable site operations.

6. Stakeholder Coordination
• Liaise with design, planning, procurement, and site managers to align EHS requirements with project timelines and activities.
• Support site handovers and closures by ensuring EHS compliance clearance and documentation.
• Represent the organization during site EHS audits by clients, authorities, or regulatory bodies.

Required Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Safety, Engineering, or related discipline.
• 8+ years’ EHS experience in construction or interiors, with at least 3 years in commercial fit-out/coworking/real estate projects.
• Diploma/Certification in Industrial Safety (RLI/CLI/QCI preferred).
• Thorough knowledge of relevant Indian and international EHS codes/regulations.
• Proficient in EHS audit, risk assessment, training, and incident documentation.
